Members of the Bowie Squadron participated in a search and rescue exercise (SAREX) this past weekend. The event, planned and directed by the Maryland Wing, allowed members of ground teams and air crews the opportunity to put their training to use in a series of mock disaster situations. Scenarios included a downed (missing) airplane and a missing boater. Six aircraft, five ground teams and a total of 56 personnel from across the state took part in the exercise.
